Na Amwaaltga Ts'msiyeen: The Tsimshian, Trade, and the Northwest Coast Economy
Library Item
Na Amwaaltga Ts'msiyeen is the first in the series, Suwilaay'msga Na Ga'niiyatgm, Teachings of Our Grandfathers. The series is based on the adawx of the Tsimshian, historical narratives committed to memory and passed down, over centuries, from generation to generation. To the Tsimshian and their neighbours, the Gitksan, Nisga' and Haida, the knowledge of what has gone before is an essential aspect of culture. Without history, without roots, one is without identity.
