Canoe bailer, birch bark with wooden handle. The bailer is a cuvred birch bark with three splints, on both sides, running through the bailer vertically to provide additional suport. The birch bark is pleated and slotted into notches on either side of the handle. The bailer is angled forward to assit in scooping water from a canoe. The inside of the bailer has a 'MB' inscribed into the birch. Made by Moses Billy in 1972.
